Intra-Club Competiton 2019 Recap

MXR competitors, leaders, judges, and supporters gather in the MHS gym.

On May 24th, Milpitas Xtreme Robotics hosted our first Intra-Club-Competition, the biggest event of our year. Members from our club split into teams, competed against one another with their own custom designed, built, and programmed robots. With open admission for all ages, we hoped to inspire not just our members, but those in our community through an amazing first-hand experience of robotics and STEM in this special night to remember.

The day of our competition was hectic. In the few hours we had to prepare, we worked as hard and as fast as we could to set up the arena, the welcoming area, snack and drink stands, decorations and more. We ran behind schedule, but through it all, we pulled through and had an amazing competition night. All of our 12 teams competed for every round of the competition, and we brought in an audience of over 100 people to our competition. In addition through the night, we raised $125 in donations alone to help fund our future projects.
