Recently, our club purchased a new 3D printer: the Original Prusa i3 MK3S, the latest installment in a long line of award winning 3D printers.
Our members spent a couple of weekends building and setting it up, and despite a couple of complications during calibration, the printer is fully functional and ready to go.
While we originally intended to use the printer to make parts for competition and even our very own intra-club competition, the advent of COVID-19 has forced us and others to postpone events. However, our printers, neither new nor old, have gone to waste! In order to combat COVID-19, we have begun 3D-printing face shields for medical workers, which you can read more about on another blog post.
